  1. Prayer For Wisdom Revelation And Power

Ephesians 1:17-21 NIV

“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.”

Ephesians 3:14-19 NIV

“For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”

  1. Intercede Against the Law of Degeneration

Jeremiah 2:21 – I had planted you like a choice vine of sound and reliable stock. How then did you turn against me into a corrupt, wild vine?

Prov. 27.23-24:– Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds; for riches do not endure forever, and a crown is not secure for all generations.

1John.2.15-17: – Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world-the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does–comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.

Read 2 Tim.4.10

  1. Intercede Against the Law of the Flesh

Rom.7.18: I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.

Phil.3.3:- For it is we who are the circumcision, we who worship by the Spirit of God, who glory in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh Read 1 Cor.9.27

  1. Intercede Against the Law of the Elements

Matt.8.23-27:- Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”. He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

  1. Intercede Against the Law of Humanity

Two main areas:

  1. a) The reality of human nature
  2. b) The reality of human error

John.2.24-25:– But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all men. He did not need man’s testimony about man, for he knew what was in a man. It will protect your people from human nature human error

  1. Intercede Against the Law of Nature

Ps.1.1-3:– Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

Ps.1.4:- Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.

  1. Intercede Against the Law of the Devil

Acts.16.16-18:– Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit by which she predicted the future. She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune telling.

This girl followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.”

She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so troubled that he turned around and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!” At that moment the spirit left her.

Eph.6.10-12:- Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

  1. Intercede Against the Law of Time

Eccl.3.1-8:- There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

Eph.6.13:- Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

  1. Intercede Against the Law of Creeping Things

Gen.1.25-26:- God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

Things that creep upon all churches:

  1. a) Deception (e.g the church of Europe)
  2. b) Wrong attitude (e.g laziness)
  3. c) Familiarity (e.g not appreciating the gift of God in your midst)
  4. d) Shifting priorities (becoming a health and educational organization instead of missionary activity)


  1. Intercede Against the Law of Things Determined

Dan.9.24:- “Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy.

John.7.1:- After this, Jesus went around in Galilee, purposely staying away from Judea because the Jews there were waiting to take his life. Intercession shows you how to love it or prepare for it.


  1. Intercede Against the Law of the Stars

Matt.2.1-2:- After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.”

Matt.2.9-10:- After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.

Job.38.31-33:- “Can you bind the beautiful Pleiades? Can you loose the cords of Orion? Can you bring forth the constellations in their seasons or lead out the Bear with its cubs? Do you know the laws of the heavens? Can you set up God’s dominion over the earth?

  1. Intercede about The Law of God This deals with judgment for mercy

Mic.7.18:- Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.

Ezek.33.11:– Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign

LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they

turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, O house of Israel?’

Gen.33.11: – Please accept the present that was brought to you, for God

has been gracious to me and I have all I need.” And because Jacob insisted, Esau accepted it.

Ps.106.23:- So he said he would destroy them- had not Moses, his

chosen one, stood in the breach before him to keep his wrath from

destroying them.
