Depend On God
It is a good thing to depend on God. This is because, you will never regret depending on Him. He never disappoints those who depend on him.
God is faithful. I have many times had the opportunity to experience this truth about God. The psalmists in Psalms 25:3 correctly puts it when he says of God that “no one who hope in him will ever be put to shame”. King David in Ps. 62:7 said these words: “My salvation and honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge”
Knowing the background of King David will help one appreciate the words he spoke in the above psalms. Without God, David would not have survived.
Every person who is to be used of God must go through a training that will enable them depend on God. Otherwise without that, it is not easy to depend on God.
God will make sure that you are brought to the point of depending on him by proving to you how unwise it is to depend on people or something else as insurance for the unknown.
Count it a blessing when you reach a point where you are helpless and forced to look to no one else but God.
Again and again, I have found myself in such a position. And again and again I have seen God prove his word and faithfulness. The flesh will not easily buy that position. But your spirit will be at rest at such a challenging moment because it is able to tell that all is well.
Perhaps you are wondering why every other person or thing you tried to depend on fails you in the end? Don’t lament. That is the kind of situation apostle Paul spoke of in 2cor. 12:10 when he said that “therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ sake: for when I am weak then I am strong”.
That is a point of turning things around by depending on God. Look to Him completely. You will come out with a testimony. If you have not yet made Christ your Lord and Savior, trust him by handing over your life to Him. You can do that through this simple prayer of commitment:
“Dear Jesus, I come to you as a sinner, forgive my sins. I repent of them. Right now I want to entrust my life into your hands. I declare you as my Lord and savior. Amen!”
If you said that from your heart, you are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Find a bible teaching church near you were you can fellowship in order to grow spiritually. Let us know about your decision for Christ through our contacts.
God bless you.
