THE ANOINTING

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulders, and his yoke off thy neck and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing”. (Isaiah 10: 27)      

The anointing is a burden removing, yoke breaking operation of the Holy Spirit. It is the presence of the power of the Holy Spirit in such intensity that the burden, (problem or bondage) that one has been in for a long time is removed and the yoke (the instrument that affects the state of bondage e.g. a generation curse, witchcraft, etc…) is destroyed.

In 1 Kings 18: 30-40,  Elijah after setting in place the sacrifice,  called upon the Lord to send fire. The Lord answered and the fire fell from heaven consuming up the sacrifice. What followed was the slaughter of four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal and later the destruction of King Ahab and Jezebel. Freedom and a season of restoration then followed.

Have you been offering to God a sacrifice of prayer and fasting? Remember Elijah told the people who had suffered bondage to make up their mind as to whether they would follow the Lord or Baal. Likewise by now you should have made up your mind which opinion you should believe, whether it is what your circumstance or problems is telling you or what God says.

The fire was the anointing in operation as an answer to a sacrificial prayer. The burden was the fear, suffering and oppression of the people by the demon god Baal through King Ahab, his wife Jezebel and the prophets of Baal. The yoke in this case was the entire system of things that had kept the people of Israel in bondage.

I want to encourage you to grab the word of God and go by what it says about your circumstance. Stick to the word. Allow the word to sink deep in your spirit and I guarantee you in the name of Jesus Christ, that it would be too much for your circumstance to withstand the word. It will vomit you out into freedom and the miraculous.
